Imaging using Flexible Low Loss Polymer Optical Multimode Fibre Waveguide (InFLOW)

#

The project InFLOW comprises a collaboration of three multidiscipline partners: our Photonics Research Center as the Host Organisation and Photonics expert, the Cyprus University of Technology as the machine learning expert, and the European University Cyprus as the biomedical engineering and applied Biology expert. The InFLOW project aims to develop a flexible probe for endoscopic imaging using multimode fibers and assess its performance when incorporated into a computer-controlled robotic arm. The project has the following main objectives: implementing the new, flexible fiber as an imaging probe and developing robust machine learning algorithms that will result in real-time imaging and generate the potential for endoscopic imaging applications. The proposed imaging system will perform scan-free, high-resolution widefield microscopy.

“This work is funded by the Cyprus Government through the Research and Innovation Foundation (Project: PHD IN INDUSTRY /1222/0064)”
