The HydrOTEC project seeks to advance the adoption of OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion) technology as a dependable solution for green hydrogen production in small-scale coastal applications within the Mediterranean Sea region. Our hybrid system aims to contribute to the broader spectrum of green hydrogen production by offering a sustainable alternative for energy generation and storage. The consortium driving this initiative includes esteemed partners such as Cyprus University of Cyprus, Ayia Napa Marina, Lumoscribe, International Hellenic University, and EnerBasque. This research endeavor has been made possible through funding from CETPartnership, a European Commission initiative (GA N°101069750) in collaboration with the listed funding organizations on the CETPartnership website, under Joint Call 2022 for research proposals.
