Lumoscribe Presents Embedded Photonic Sensing for Structural Health Monitoring at EPIC Online Technology Meeting
On 10 November, Lumoscribe participated in the EPIC Online Technology Meeting on Photonics for Structural Health Monitoring, presenting our latest developments in photonic sensing technologies for advanced materials.
During the online session, our CEO delivered a dedicated presentation showcasing Lumoscribe’s recent activities within the BioStruct project, with a particular focus on the integration of optical fiber sensors directly into biocomposite materials.
The talk addressed how embedded photonic sensing can enable real-time structural health monitoring, providing valuable insights into strain, temperature, and integrity evolution throughout the lifecycle of composite structures. Such approaches are especially relevant for applications where lightweight, sustainable, and intelligent materials are required.
The presentation also highlighted Lumoscribe’s broader vision on combining advanced photonic components, embedded sensing architectures, and data-driven monitoring to support safer and more resilient structures.
